The Berlin festival is heading to its most remote location to date next month.
Berlin’s CTM Festival has announced details of its first Siberian festival in collaboration with the Goethe Institut Novosibirsk and partners from the Russian region.
The multi-day programme of concerts, club nights and “artistic interventions” aims to foster an exchange between artists from western Europe and acts local to Siberia and Russia, with the results feeding back into CTM’s 2016 edition.
European acts booked to appear include Helena Hauff, Lorenzo Senni, Low Jack, Byetone, Robert Henke and Rabih Beaini & Daniele De Santis, while acts from Russia include Love Cult, Andrey Smirnov, Appleyard, Buttechno and Chekhov.
The programme takes place from September 11-12 in Krasnoyarsk at the UIClub, and September 14-20 in Novosibirsk at venues including Pobeda Cinema, Globus theatre, the Novosibirsk Philharmonic, RAGU Cafe, the Novosibirsk State Scientific Library, and LPSHBR.
You can pick up tickets from the CTM website, where you can also find out more information about the location.
