Stream Roots Manuva’s new album Bleeds

By , Oct 27 2015

Roots Manuva’s sixth album is out this week.

On Bleeds, the UK hip-hop stalwart is joined by a selection of top collaborators, including Four Tet on earlier single ‘Facety 2:11’, dub wizard Adrian Sherwood, Switch’s new production team and young UK producer Fred.

The album’s title is an “egocentric jest of daring to do things in the tradition of Jesus: I’m ready to bleed for the artform,” says the rapper. It’s also a reference to the different genres he’s experimenting this time, and the way that reggae, techno, funk and more “blend together to create liquid soul, the blood, the bleeds that paint infinite sacred wonders in our dreams and unfold in our day-to-day.”

Head to The Guardian to stream the album ahead of its release on October 30.
