One of only three known copies.

An ultra-rare Boards of Canada record pressed as part of a cryptic marketing campaign for the Tomorrow’s Harvest album has appeared on Discogs for $4,500 (approximately £3,139.17).

As The Vinyl Factory reports, the record is listed on the account of New York store Other Music, where a fan originally found the first of the —— / —— / —— / XXXXXX / —— / —— records secretly released as part of Record Store Day 2013.

“Other Music was given two copies of this mystery record on Record Store Day in 2013, one to give away and one to keep,” the store writes. “Here’s the second copy…unplayed in perfect condition.”

The first of the three records known to exist sold for $5,700 on eBay in 2013, while the second was found by a lucky customer at London’s Rough Trade East.
