Will this be the most exciting collection material from DMX in a decade?

DMX is reportedly working on a comeback album sorts and, according to Swizz Beatz, it will have contributions from Dr. Dre and Kanye West. (And, perhaps, Swizz’s son Egypt?)

X’s last official album was 2012’s underwhelming Undisputed, but it’s been almost ten years since he’s put out anything substantial. (It should be noted that Swizz quibbled over the authenticity of last year’s Redemption of the Beast.)

Aside from these interesting collabs – it’ll be his first time ever working with Dre; X and West haven’t worked together since 2003’s ‘Dogs Out’, a truly bizarre confluence of both artists’ styles that still totally works – this is good news for DMX fans. Earlier this year, it was reported that the Yonkers rapper was found not breathing at a Ramada Inn in his hometown after an alleged overdose.

DMX’s classic ‘How’s It Going Down?’ was interpolated on Drake’s brand new album Views. Check out our breakdown of that, X’s ‘What These Bitches Want?’ and the other samples on the album.
