A fittingly majestic tribute.
Decorated with Bowie’s Aladdin Sane lighting bolt – which the artist famously sported on his face for the cover of his classic 1973 album Aladdin Sane – it follows last night’s (June 24) ‘Glastonbowie’ event, during which hundreds of fans gathered for a massive Bowie singalong.
The same sculptor behind the Bowie homage, Joe Rush, has also crafted a statue of Prince to adorn the Park area of the stage. Rush has also paid tribute to late Motörhead frontman Lemmy with an ‘Ace of Spades’ sculpture on the Other Stage.
