Watch all Bon Iver’s vivid 22, A Million lyric videos in one place

Wisconsin singer-songwriter Justin Vernon returned at the start of the month with his long-awaited new album 22, A Million, marking out a paradigm shift to a new electronic sound.

With obscure track titles like ’21 M◊◊N WATER’, ‘666 ʇ’ and ‘715 – CR∑∑KS’, the 10 “poly-fi” recordings have been described as “a collection of sacred moments, love’s torment and salvation, contexts of intense memories, signs that you can pin meaning onto or disregard as coincidence,” by musicologist Trevor Hagen in an essay about the record.

The lyrics are as knotty as the LP’s track titles, with countless Genius interpretations only adding to the ambiguity.

Bon Iver have now shared lyric videos for every single track, so you can add visuals to your interpretations. Created, produced and directed by Aaron Anderson and Eric Timothy Carlson, with photography by Cameron Wittig and Crystal Quinn, it’s not clear yet if the trippy, collage-style videos will serve as the only visual accompaniment to the album, but they’ll certainly do for now. Get lost in 22, A Million’s strange new world below.
