Listen to this playlist of Radiohead members’ best non-Radiohead songs

Their best collaborations, side-project and solo songs.

Most musicians in stadium-filling bands go solo to do the things they can’t do in their day jobs. You’d think, given the vast number of directions and sounds explored by Radiohead across their seven albums so far, there’d be little musical territory left to pursue for Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and co. Sure enough though, the Oxford band have regularly splintered between albums to collaborate with other often lesser-known luminaries and dive into side-projects spanning gentle folk (Philip Selway’s Familial), terse strings (Jonny’s work for director Paul Thomas Anderson) and pulsing electronica (Thom’s 2005 release The Eraser),

With the recent announcement that guitarist Ed O’Brien is soon to release his own solo album inspired by sights and sounds on a stay in Brazil, plus an impending performance by Jonny Greenwood’s Junun at London’s Illuminations festival on November 4, we put together one hour and 12 minutes of our favourite non-Radiohead music by members of the Moon Shaped Pool group, including collabs with DOOM, FlyLo and more. Check it out below and grab tickets for Illuminations here.
